Suspended
2005
Suspended was a photographic installation of my undergraduate honors thesis. Utilizing a unique space and integrating translucent photography elevates imagery. Often we project ideal paths for life but cannot know or control of final destination. These new perspectives reveal transitions for temporary stages in life. I offer ideas and transitions that elevate uncertainty allowing us to reflect upon what is truly desired. This photographic series received 1st place in the “people:other” non-professional division and took an honorable mention in the “fine art:other” non-professional division at the 2005 International Photography Awards."Suspended Series #3, falling with leaves" received an honorable mention in the North Carolina Museum of Art's in focus on-line photography contest in the "identity" division.
